In 2006, Max Hoberman launched Certain Affinity, which is now Austin’s largest independent game studio. It has 125 employees currently with plans to hire 105 more game developers, Hoberman said.
And Certain Affinity just purchased the 55,000 square foot building which previously housed the Texas Association of School Boards at 7620 Guadalupe Street. It will be moving in later this year. The company is currently in rented office space near the Domain area of North Austin.
In this interview, Hoberman talks about how he founded Certain Affinity and the company's plans for the future as well as lessons he has learned along the way that may be beneficial to other entrepreneurs.
